Family Photo Day!

We decided to take advantage of today's day off and went to have family pictures made. Since we were still in our "picture clothes" when we returned home, I tried to take a few more pictures of the kids. It was difficult to get them to sit still long enough, but here are a couple of the best pictures.

Luke Relaxes In The Pool

Last month I set up the pool to allow the water to warm up a little.  With the recent warm weather we have been having, the water is plenty warm and the girls have been taking every opportunity to go swimming.  A few days ago we gave Luke his first chance to get in the pool.  Back in August we posted a picture of Luke in the pool immediately after his umbilical cord fell off.  But he was only in the pool for a minute back then.  In these pictures you get to see Luke ready for the pool and him relaxing in the pool.  He loved it and I am sure he will spend much of the summer in the pool with his sisters.(You can click on the pictures to view them full size)

Anna's 5th Birthday Party

Anna celebrated her 5th birthday today with a few friends from her Sunday School class. Here is the video of the kids singing Happy Birthday to Anna.

Dirty Luke

After Luke enjoyed Anna's cookie-cake, he was filthy. So, to keep him from spreading the filth, I put him in the ice chest (with the lid open Uncle Charlie) until his daddy was ready to give him his bath.

Isabelle's Track Meet

Each year at Jay Elementary the kids have a Track Meet Day. The kids run twice; this year Isabelle placed 5th and 3rd. She is better at the long distances than the shorter ones. Here is a photo of her with her ribbons.

Anna's Birthday

Yesterday was Anna's Birthday. She was sick with the Coxsacchi (sp?) Virus (Hand-foot-mouth). She and Isabelle had had high fevers and blisters in their mouths since the weekend. The doc said that they could go back to school after 24 hours without fever. Yesterday was our 24 hour fever free period. So, basically Anna just got to stay home for her birthday. I had a lot of shopping to do, so I was gone for most of the day and brought home a cookie-cake for her Birthday. I have attached a picture of Will and her holding the cake while we sang (Aunt Sister, Uncle Charlie, Nana, Paw, and Callahan joined us via Skype) Happy Birthday to her.

After this, I had to bake a cake for her to take to school today to share with her class. At school, she got to pass out the cake to everyone and I have also included a picture of her enjoying her cake with her class.

Anna was very excited to receive all of the phone calls from friends and family wishing her happy birthday. And she was delighted yesterday when the florist delivered some balloons. Thank you Mrs. Robbi for helping to make Anna's day special.

I have also included a picture of Luke enjoying Anna's cookie-cake.

The Dads had fun too!

What Will forgot to mention about the field trip is that he and Jason played in the cockpits too! Isabelle took this photo; I think she did a pretty good job.

Anna Makes Luke Laugh!

Luke is a pretty happy child and it doesn't take much to get him to chuckle. But very rarely will you find him in an uncontrollable laugh. While cleaning her room, Anna found a whistle and went around the house blowing it. She made her way to Luke's room and the following video shows the results.

Anna seems to be the only one who can get Luke to laugh this hard!

Dental Clinic Summary

For those of you that don't know, the Florida Baptist Convention owns a Motorhome that has been fitted for dental work. The bus travels around the state of Florida providing dental work to low-income families. The local churches screen patients, enlist dentists/assistants, and make the plans for the bus. For the past two years, it has been my job to be the coordinator; although, I must thank all of the help that I had because I certainly didn't do it all by myself. In the past we have had missionaries that travel with the bus, but this year, the full-time missionaries have stopped traveling and there are some retired dentists and assistants that have been traveling with the bus. Since the FL Baptists couldn't find anyone to travel in the panhandle area, they have begun training some locals from different churches to take over this job next year. This was my job this year. I must say that I don't think that my visits to the dentist office will ever be the same. Mrs. Marty and Mrs. Brenda (pictured left) are the missionaries for Central Florida that did our (me and Jenny Lowry) training this past week. In addition to these ladies, I have to thank Jenny (for jumping in feet first to my chaos) and my Mama (for watching mine and Jenny's kids all week).

This week we had five dentists, six dental assistants, two missionaries, and Jenny and myself serving on the bus. We saw 66 patients resulting in $18, 311.00 worth of dental work being done. Seven people came to know Christ thanks to our new evangelism efforts this year. It was an amazing week. Thanks to everyone who helped!

JFBC 2010 AWANA Awards Night

Last night was our church's AWANA Awards Night. Here are two videos of the evening. In this first video, Anna's Cubbies group sings the Cubbies' theme song. They then attempted to do the Cubbies' cheer but they were a little nervous.

In this second video, Isabelle's Sparks group recites several Bible verses. I tried to get a better shot of Isabelle reciting the K verse, but a little boy was in the way.

Isabelle's Field Trip

Isabelle's first grade class had a field trip to the Naval Aviation Museum at Naval Air Station Pensacola.  The morning began with the hour long ride down to Pensacola.  Once we arrived, we went into the IMAX theater to watch The Magic of Flight.  After the movie, we were able to walk around the museum to see all the planes.  Isabelle and her friend, Jada, spent most of the time playing in the cockpits of many of the models in the kids section.

Before leaving NAS, we stopped by Barrancas National Cemetery to visit my dad's grave site.  We had a great day and I enjoyed getting the opportunity to spend it with Isabelle.
